Nursing

Hillcrest provides 24 hour licensed nursing services for the residents of Hillcrest. The Nursing staff work with our facility Medical Director and Nurse Practitioner to address any health concerns and provide routine follow-up for the Residents. Nursing Services monitors the health and wellness of all residents as well as administers medication to the residents of the facility. All residents are involved in their own medication administration to the extent that they are able. Residents that participate in the self-medication program are monitored by trained Self-medication aides.

The Nursing staff work with the Pharmacy consultant to monitor for medication interactions and side effects.

Nursing works with the Physical Therapy Consultants, Occupational and Speech Therapy Consultants to meet the resident’s medical needs in these areas, implementing programs recommended with the goal of increasing the resident’s independent functioning ability.
